1 cup Apple wood chips or alder wood chips
10-ounce of fresh or frozen Dressed boned rainbow trout
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon cracked Black pepper
1/2 medium Apple cored and thinly sliced
1 stalk Celery thinly sliced
4 teaspoons snipped fresh Sage leaves
8.25 inch slices Lemon
1 tablespoon of Toasted sliced almonds

    A simple and delicious way to cook fish, especially if you’re in a hurry! This recipe will only take 40 minutes. With herb seasoning, chopped almonds, and apple and celery stuffing, you will be sure to add great flavor to the trout!

    Healthy, low-carb dinner that is rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids.

    So, either you are on a diet or just craving some healthy and accessible food for dinner, opt for trout since it is a low-carb fish that you can quickly cook.

    To get rid of the fishy smell, we opted for a fantastic stuffing. Enjoy!

    Soak wood chips in enough water to cover for one hour and drain before using.

    Thaw fish if frozen. Rinse fish; pat dry with paper towels.

    Season your fish with salt and pepper.

    Layer apple and celery slices in the cavity of each fish and sprinkle with sage.

    Varnish a sheet of heavy-duty foil with cooking spray. Lay fish on foil and top with lemon slices.

    Put medium-hot coals around the edge of the grill and add drained wood chips to coals.

    Put the foil with fish on the grill rack in the center of the grill.

    Cover and grill for 20 to 25 minutes on 140°F
