Ingredients
- 4 Pork chopsbone in, about 3/4-inch thick
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 3 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1/3 cup chopped Onionor shallots
- 8 ounces sliced Mushrooms
- 1/2 cup White wine
- 1/4 teaspoon Additional salt
- 1/3 cup Half and halflow-fat
- 1/2 cup chopped Mixed herbs
Directions
An elegant dish of chicken and mushroom is the perfect option to serve on a special occasion instead of hosting bland and dry chicken. It is hearty and flavorful and could definitely be saved for the whole week without losing its delicious taste.

Steps
1 Done | Season the chops with salt and pepper and heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a large cast-iron skillet to medium-high heat, then lower to medium. |
2 Done | Cook the pork chops for 10 minutes until done while turning once. |
3 Done | When cooked, place on a plate and cover with aluminum foil to keep warm. |
4 Done | Put the remaining spoon of oil in the pan, add the onions and mushrooms. |
5 Done | Cook until they are browned for 5 minutes. |
6 Done | Add the wine and 1/4 teaspoon of salt; cook for 3 minutes or until most of the liquid is evaporated. |
7 Done | Add the herb mixture and cook for 2 more minutes. |
8 Done | Serve with chops with the sauce spooned over them or offered on the side. |
9 Done | Enjoy your meal! |
