Score the meaty side of each piece of short rib with a sharp knife to make three perpendicular cuts halfway through the meat (this will allow the marinade to penetrate the meat best.)
Combine all of the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl, and stir well.
Place the short ribs in a 2- gallon resealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over them.
Seal the bag and let it marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat, remove the short ribs from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature.
Remove the ribs from the marinade and place them on the grill, bone side down.
Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until well steered.
Lower the heat to medium-low and cook the ribs for 15 minutes while turning them frequently until they are nicely browned on all sides or until at the desired degree of doneness.
Remove the steaks from the grill and serve immediately.
