    Grilled Mackerel is a great dish that you can easily make. This popular seafood dish is favored for its crispy skin and delicious flavor. It’s served in many Japanese restaurants in the US. You can make this at home in less than 30 minutes. You will agree that the grilled Mackerel is a healthy, delicious dish, especially when made with green peppercorn sauce.

    Heat your grill on a hot single-level fire; make sure to coat the grill grate with oil.

    Season the inside and outside of the mackerel with kosher salt and pepper. Start cooking the fish, turn it once, until grill-marked and cooked through (the process takes about 4 to 5 minutes per side). Remove the fish to plates.

    Melt the butter over high heat in a saucepan. Add the pickled peppercorns and sprinkle with kosher salt and pepper to cook; frequently swirl the pan till the butter becomes nearly brown (the process takes about 6 minutes). The next step is to stir in the lime juice and simmer till the sauce becomes syrupy (it should take about 20 seconds).

    Coat the mackerel with the butter sauce. Top each fish with a sprig of peppercorn. Sprinkle a little bit of flaky salt, and then serve with lime wedges.
