Ingredients
- 1 cup Garlic clovespeeled
- 1 sprig fresh Thyme
- 1 cup Olive oil
- 1 cup Vegetable oil
Directions
Like tomato confit, garlic confit consists of roasting garlic in generous amounts of olive oil at low heats until it’s tender.
A jar of garlic confit is a great staple to have in your fridge. Perfect for blending through dips, dressings, or simple pasta. The options are endless.
Take the time to make up a huge batch, and it lasts for ages.

Steps
1 Done | In a small saucepan, place the garlic, thyme, and both oils. |
2 Done | Cover and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until the garlic is golden brown and tender. |
3 Done | Remove from the oven. When the cloves are cool enough to handle, squeeze the garlic from the skins into a bowl. Then cover and reserve. |
4 Done | Pour any remaining oil into a separate bowl and save for brushing on burgers or steaks before grilling or use in vinaigrettes. |
