Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs Ground beefSteak Mixture:
- 1/3 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoon Milk
- 1 minced Garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp crushed Beef bouillon cubecrushed
- 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 2 cups Beef BrothSauce Mixture:
- 1 tablespoon Tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- 2 tablespoon fresh Parsleyminced
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Thyme
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1 medium Yellow onionthinly sliced
- 8 oz Crimini mushroomssliced, baby bella
- 2 tablespoon Water
- 2 tablespoon Cornstarch
- Salt
- Pepper
- Additional chopped Parsleyfor garnish
Directions
Salisbury steak is a dish, originating in the United States, made from a blend of ground beef and other ingredients and usually served with gravy or brown sauce. It is so simple and tasty!

Steps
1 Done | In a large bowl, combine the Steak Mixture ingredients just until they are well mixed but do not overmix. |
2 Done | Shape into 6 patties and let rest for at least 10 minutes for breadcrumbs to absorb flavor. |
3 Done | In the meantime, in a medium bowl, whisk together the Sauce Mixture ingredients. |
4 Done | Add butter to the Instant Pot. |
5 Done | On a sauté function, melt the butter and brown the steaks on both sides while cooking each side for 2 to 3 minutes. |
6 Done | Transfer browned meat to a shallow dish and cover loosely with foil. |
7 Done | Add onions and mushrooms to the pot, Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until onions begin to soften. |
8 Done | Add sauce mixture to the pot and deglaze by using a wooden spoon to scrape the brown bits from the bottom of the pot. |
9 Done | Layer the steaks back into the pot on top of the vegetables. |
10 Done | Program the Instant Pot for 15 minutes. |
11 Done | When the time is up, let the pressure naturally release for 15 minutes, then quick-release the remaining pressure. |
12 Done | Carefully remove the steaks from the pot to a shallow dish and cover loosely with foil, reserving juices. |
13 Done | In a small bowl, mix together cornstarch and cold water and stir into the pot until thickened, returning to SAUTÉ mode as needed. |
14 Done | Adjust seasonings. |
15 Done | Serve the steak topped with gravy over noodles, spaghetti squash, or mashed potatoes |
